NAHRS Award for Professional Excellence: Nomination Process

 

Every NAHRS or MLA member is invited and encouraged to submit a nomination for the NAHRS Award for Professional Excellence, formerly the NAHRS Librarian of the Year Award. The nominee must be a member of NAHRS. Designed as an acknowledgement for a librarian in mid-career, the Award recognizes outstanding leadership and exceptional librarianship in meeting the information needs of nursing and allied health professionals.

The Awards Committee will review the nominations and make a recommendation to the NAHRS Executive Board. Presentation of the award will take place at the NAHRS annual business meeting.

To nominate:

Send a letter of nomination accompanied by a curriculum vita/resume or other suitable biographical and career information of the nominee to the Chair of the NAHRS Honors Committee. The nomination must be received by December 31. The following should be addressed by the submission:

*accomplishments in nursing and allied health librarianship
*publications
*conference presentations
*other evidence of service to the nursing and allied health professions
*participation in NAHRS and MLA
